Re:Work Popup Event

»Can you bring us in touch with a new and younger generation of architects?«. This was the brief given to us by the international architectural lighting brand Zumtobel. The result was RE:WORK – a popup travelling exhibition and conference on the theme of »Open Architecture«. The exhibition showcased more than 100 unusual examples of a new emerging practise of architecture driven by digitalisation and open frameworks.

»This was a thrilling evening with excellent presentations and many inspirations. Congratulations to this event series with a surprising and bold concept.« – Amandus Sattler, Allmann Sattler Wappner , Architekten GmbH

Every aspect of the event was designed under the rules of open design: the exhibtion itself which has been crowd-curated, the lectures and even the catering which triggered the guests to share food and thoughts. We even build a robot – the »coverbot« – who created for each visitor a personalized cover for the exhibition catalogue using water colours.

Between January and May 2015 the exhibition travelled through seven major cities in Germany. More than 1.200 visitors registered for the event which was overbooked in short time. The event was a huge success and provided overwhelming resonance both in the architecture press and amongst the visitors themselves.
